About the Role
We are currently seeking an experienced and caring Respite Caregiver / Support Worker to provide in-home care services for a child with disabilities. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about working with children and making a positive impact in their lives by providing one-on-one care, companionship, and support in their daily activities.
Responsibilities:
Provide compassionate, patient-centered care for a child with disabilities in their home.
Assist with daily living activities, including personal care, feeding, and mobility assistance as required.
Engage in recreational activities to promote development and social interaction.
Ensure a safe and nurturing environment by monitoring and attending to the child’s needs.
Support the child in achieving their individual care goals.
Follow any behavioral support plans and therapy recommendations.
Communicate regularly with the family and other healthcare professionals as needed.
Maintain accurate documentation of care and activities provided.
Includes punctual daycrae pickup, light meal preparation, keeping environment clean and following therapy routine.
Requirements

CPR/First Aid Certification (Mandatory)
Experience working with individuals with disabilities (preferred but not required)
Knowledge of personal care and behavior support strategies
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a care team
Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle
Clear criminal background check and vulnerable sector check
Ability to lift and assist with mobility as needed
